The Sensitivity of Light and ISO

At the top of our exposure triangle sits ISO—the sensitivity of the camera to light. Its position at the top is no accident. While aperture and shutter speed form the foundational base of our exposure decisions, ISO should be our final consideration, called upon only when we've reached the limitations of our other tools.
